Dr. Berger received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. Following this, Dr. Berger completed a two-year fellowship in Gastroenterology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He is Board Certified Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Berger is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the Crohns' and Colitis Foundation of America. He has been in private practice since 1990. Dr. Berger is married and has two children.
